Workshop on Nonlinear Optics at Interfaces 2019

Overview:

The international workshop on Nonlinear Optics at Interfaces was suggested by Franz Geiger, Hongfei Wang, Alexander V. Benderskii and Zefeng Ren in 2016. Noticing the rapid growth of this research field, especially in Asia, the main goal of the workshop in China is to provide additional platform for scientists to collectively push the frontiers of interfacial science using nonlinear optics. Being a parallel event to the Geiger-Benderskii TSRC workshop on “Nonlinear Optics at Interfaces”, which runs in even years in Telluride, the workshop of the same format on the topic in China is held in odd years rotating among several beautiful places. 

    We will follow the tradition of TSRC and expect all participants to commit to the entire week of the workshop. Experience shows that this is a good way to ensure vigorous and productive discussions, and stimulate new ideas and collaborations. We will limit the attendance to an international mix of ~30 leaders in the area of nonlinear optics at interfaces, all of whom are attending by invitation only.
